We frequently recieve information with a variety of soccer opportunities inlcuding group skills, strength and conditioning, soccer club pre-tryout camps, etc.  Rather than just delete all the email, I wanted to make some of the information available to CURRENT and FUTURE Truman High School families.

I am compiling a list of links to several clubs or training opportunities in the area.  There are many more, but these all have a presence on the east side of the KC metro area.  The MONTH OF JUNE is critical for getting involved with soccer clubs.  Several of the clubs host PRE-TRYOUT CAMPS in EARLY JUNE that are designed to sharpen skills and provide training opportunities to prepare for TRYOUTS beginning MID-JUNE.  Tryouts take place in June for ALL clubs (even for high school boys that will not ramp up until after the fall school season is over).  There are ways to break into club soccer at other times throughout the year, but it is much more difficult.  Signups are open now for some camps. Others are still showing 2012-2013 information.

Even if you are not interested as a high school athlete, PLEASE consider this for younger siblings, or PASS IT ON to any friends that might be interested; ESPECIALLY future high school students in the Independence School District.
